Dive the spectacular and magical sponge gardens

The deep water (over 25m depth) sponge gardens found on the rock walls and pinnacles around both Peninsulas are very diverse and make fantastic dives.

These walls feature brightly coloured sponges, soft corals and fields of sea whips. Being surrounded by huge schools of fish – mostly Butterfly Perches – is common in those locations.

Diving these sites at any depth provides excellent photographic opportunities and is always unforgettable.

The sponge gardens are for more experienced divers with a minimum of an Advanced Open Water certification (or equivalent). For sites over 30 meters depth, a minimum of a Deep Diver Specialty (or equivalent) qualification is required.
