Dive with the seals
COME AND PLAY WITH THEM
Get up close with curious fur seals
The Tasman Peninsula is home to thriving colonies of fur seals. These playful and curious animals make every encounter different, often approaching divers and turning an ordinary dive into an unforgettable experience.
A playful encounter in the kelp
Fur seal dives are all about the encounter. Most of the interaction happens in the shallow kelp, often between the surface and 5 metres, where the seals can move freely around divers. The site itself can reach around 20 metres, with gently sloping terrain, kelp-covered reef and rocky walls.

Curious, energetic and full of character
Australian fur seals are naturally curious and often approach divers in the water. They may swim alongside you, circle around the group or suddenly disappear before coming back for another look. Every encounter is different, and their curious nature is what makes these dives so memorable.
